The Stanley Cup is on the road with the Boston Bruins for a two-month celebration unlike any other in sports. Chicharito . By the time the team gathers for training camp in September, the iconic trophy will have visited almost every member of the organization on a trek that stretches from coast-to-coast in Canada, throughout the United States and to remote locales in Europe. Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs took the Stanley Cup to Yosemite National Park over the weekend before passing it on to assistant coach Doug Houda, who chose to spend his allotted time with it in Whitefish, Mont., on Tuesday. The first player to get his day with the Cup is Nathan Horton, who was knocked out of the championship series against Vancouver with a vicious hit from Aaron Rome. Hell host the trophy in mid-July in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before sending it off on an adventure in Europe. Tomas Kaberle plans to bring it to his hometown of Kladno, Czech Republic -- just as brother Frantisek did in 2006 after helping the Carolina Hurricanes become champions -- before David Krejci takes it to Sternbeck, Czech Republic and captain Zdeno Chara shares it with the people of Trencin, Slovakia. The Cup will reach its farthest point east with backup goalie Tuukka Rask, who is spending time with it in his hometown of Savonlinna, Finland -- not far from the border with Russia. A return to North America from there will see it make a number of stops around Ontario at the end of July: Oshawa (Shawn Thornton), Welland (Dan Paille), Guelph (Rich Peverley), Tillsonburg (Gregory Campbell), Brampton (Tyler Seguin), Peterborough (Marc Savard) and Ottawa (Chris Kelly). In August, the Stanley Cup will visit seven other provinces. Patrice Bergeron is scheduled to have it in Quebec City, Mark Recchi (Kamloops) and Milan Lucic (Vancouver) will bring it to B.C., Shane Hnidy is hosting it in Neepawa, Man., and Johnny Boychuk will take it to his hometown of Edmonton before the Maritimers get their day with the Cup. There will be stops in P.E.I. (Adam McQuaid), Nova Scotia (Brad Marchand) and Newfoundland and Labrador, where Michael Ryder will be just the second player from that province to bring it home following Detroits Daniel Cleary in 2008. Other highlights along the way include a visit to Flint, Mich., where Conn Smythe winner Tim Thomas will spend one of his two days with the trophy in the city he was raised. The time Stanley Cup champions spend with the trophy over the summer helps add to its legacy. Players often get creative with the silver chalice, just as Andrew Ladd did a year ago, when he took a helicopter to the top of a mountain peak outside Vancouver at the crack of dawn and posed for the iconic image of Chicagos 2010 championship. --- The Hockey Hall of Fame keeps a diary of the Stanley Cups travels. Cammalleri scored two goals, Corban Knight netted the winner in a shootout, and the Flames erased a two-goal deficit in the third period to beat the Stars 4-3 on Friday night.NEWARK, N.J. -- Martin Brodeur gave himself a clean bill of health Tuesday. The New Jersey goalie suffered a bruised shoulder three weeks ago and could play Wednesday when the Devils face the Toronto Maple Leafs. "I felt real good today and if they need me tomorrow, Ill be ready," Brodeur said. "Its the hardest Ive gone as far as reaction and competing and I was fine." Devils coach Pete DeBoer would not say whether Brodeur, 39, would start or if hell continue to lean on reserve Johan Hedberg for a seventh straight game. "We have to get medical clearance first," said DeBoer, adding it would be up to Brodeur when he would return to the lineup. "Well talk to the trainers first." However, DeBoer realized that having the 10-time all-star back on the ice would be a boost to his squad. Brodeur holds most of the NHLs records for goaltenders, including wins, shutouts and games played "Sure, it gives you a lift," DeBoer said. "Hes probably the best goalkeeper of all time. "He would give us a lift on the ice and in the dressing room. Just having him with us on the road recently was a positive." Brodeur told goaltending coach Chris Terreri, his former teammate, he was fine after practice. He planned on speaking with DeBoer sometime Tuesday. "Its up to them to make the right decision," Brodeur said. "I dont think playing back-to-back games (the Devils face the Flyers in Philadelphia on Thursday) should matter. "I was able to push it to the extent where I dont have to worry about it. I felt like I did when I got hurt." Brodeur hurt his right shoulder when he went down to the ice to make a save against the Los Angeles Kings on Oct. 13. He has missed the last six games, a span in which Hedberg has gone 3-3. Brodeur underwent extensive therapy over the last three weeks and began to skate again when the Devils were on the road. "Being on the road was a big benefit to me, to keep up with it," Brodeur said. "Its been a lot for me to miss the games and being away from the team, but it was nice to be back and be part of the team. Hes endured three injuries (groin, torn bicep muscle that required surgery, now the shoulder) over the last four years, missing significant time. "Its different for me," Brodeur said. "I was fortunate for a lot of years to stay healthy and play with no major issues. "Ive endured a lot of wear and tear playing at a high level. Its bound to happen to everyone. It is what it is. Someday, I wont be able to play anymore. I know that. I wouldnt change anything that I did in my prime. We did a lot of great things." Brodeur is grateful to have a proven backup in Hedberg, who is 4-3-1 with a 2.28 goals-against average. "Its important to have a solid goalie tandem," Brodeur said. "Im not coming back because the team needs. "Im coming back because I feel good and I want to play. I know Im not going to play the same amount of games I used to play. I know Ive been getting injured lately, but when Im healthy, Im going to be out there." DeBoer welcomed Brodeurs return but addressed other key issues. "Its nice to have him back," he said, "but he cant score goals for us or play the point in the power play." Patrik Elias, who leads the Devils in scoring with only eight points (four goals, four assists) in nine games, went down hard in practice after colliding with Anton Volchenkov. "My life flashed before my eyes with what weve dealt with already," DeBoer said. "It was not a sight I wanted to see." Elias picked himself up after a brief moment and said he was fine. "I had a little problem with my ankle," Elias said. "Its just a little bruise. We all have to get back on track and take advantage of our chances. "Were not going to win too many games with just one goal. Id be concerned if we werent getting scoring chances. But once we get our chances, we have to connect. We have to relax a little. Were too antsy and too nervous. We have to let it come to us." cheap nfl jerseys ' ' '
