AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Rodney Stuckey pulled the Pistons out of trouble. Stuckey came off the bench to score 26 points and the Detroit reserves helped wipe out a 19-point deficit as the Pistons topped Boston 115-111. Stuckeys free throws with 57 seconds left broke a 111-all tie and gave Detroit the lead for good. "They got us back in with their energy," coach John Loyer said of his reserves, who helped the team end a two-game skid. The Pistons trailed by 19 points in third quarter and were down 95-85 at the start of the fourth before embarking on a 15-4 run that gave them their first lead since early in the game. The teams traded the lead several times before Stuckeys free throws. Bostons Jerryd Bayless tried for a go-ahead shot in the final seconds but his 3-point try rimmed out. Greg Monroe had 21 points and Brandon Jennings added 20 for Detroit, which also got 19 and 20 rebounds from Andre Drummond, who tied the game at 111 on a tip with 1:52 to play. Thirteen of his caroms were on the offensive glass, giving him 402 this season and making him the most prolific single-season offensive rebounder since 2000. "I pride myself on getting offensive rebounds," Drummond said. "Thats how I get my points." Jerryd Bayless had 25 points and Jeff Green added 22 for the Celtics, who lost their eighth straight and have dropped 12 in a row on the road. Bostons lead was 82-63 midway through the third before Detroit rallied produced a handful of runs to keep the lead from getting past 20. Pistons reserve Jonas Jerebko had consecutive 3-pointers midway through the final period to give the Pistons a lead. Rookie Peyton Siva had all five of his career-best five assists in the fourth. "The reason we won the game was Peyton Siva," Drummond said. "His energy in the fourth quarter was tremendous. He ran the show. The Celtics looked sharp from the field in the first three quarters but had several droughts in the final period. They had just six field goals and 16 points in the fourth and did not score in the final three minutes. "I thought we let off the gas defensively a couple of times and all of a sudden, instead of a 19-point game, its a 13- or 12-point game," Boston coach Brad Stevens said. "We have seen that time and again in this league that those leads go quick." Bostons Jared Sullinger, one of the worst 3-point shooters (.253 per cent) in the league, made his first four tries from behind the arc. He scored 22 points and had 10 rebounds Saturday night in place of the injured Kris Humphries. Rookie Phil Pressey added a career-best 11 assists. Boston guard Rajon Rondo, who had a triple double in Fridays loss to Philadelphia, did not play Saturday. Hes missed the second game of back-to-back nights since he returned to the roster in January. (Sports Network) - The Vancouver Canucks will attempt to beat the Toronto Maple Leafs for the 10th straight time when the teams clash tonight in Vancouver. The Northwest Division-leading Canucks have earned at least one point in 11 straight games and beat the Maple Leafs in Toronto when the clubs played on Dec. 17. Vancouver has posted an 8-0-3 record over its point streak and sits four points behind Detroit for the most in the league. The Canucks own a comfortable lead atop their division, 15 points up on the second-place Flames. Not that Vancouver hasnt need to work hard as of late. Wednesdays 3-1 win over the Avalanche was just the fourth time in the Canucks last 14 contests that the game did not go into overtime. David Booth scored in the first period before Colorado tied things up in the second. However, Jannik Hansen made sure 60 minutes would be enough as he scored the game-winner in the third and Alexandre Burrows reached the 20-goal mark for a fourth straight season with his empty-net tally. "It was nice to get this one in regulation because after the second period I was sure that it was going to overtime or a shootout," said Vancouver goaltender Roberto Luongo, who made 29 saves. "We know that come the playoffs these are the types of game that were going to be in." Toronto is hoping to win a second straight game this evening after snapping a four-game slide with a 4-3 overtime victory against Edmonton on Wednesday. Tim Connolly snapped a 17-game goal drought by scoring the game-winning goal 1:39 into overtime. Joffrey Lupul scored only 40 seconds into the game and Matthew Lombardi and Jake Gardiner also scored as the Maple Leafs bounced back from a 5-1 loss in Calgary the previous night that began a three-game swing through Western Canada. "[Tuesday] night was a tough one to swallow. It was an effort that should have been a lot better," said Torontos Cody Franson. "This was a big game for us, kind of a must-have two points with the way our last four had went. We battled hard and came out with the two points." The victory helped Toronto hold onto the eighth and final playoff spot in the East. The Maple Leafs, who had netted just five goals over their losing streak, come into this contest with a one-point edge over the ninth-place Capitals. Both Keith Ballard and Dale Weise are questionable tonight for the Canucks. Ballard has missed four straight with a sore neck/headaches, while Weise sat out the last time with facial lacerations. shopjerseysravens.com/Womens-Crockett-Gillmore-Authentic-Jersey/ . Neither striker Demba Ba nor Fernando Torres came close to scoring as Chelsea was left unsuccessfully appealing for penalties in this drab penultimate game of the season. "Our strikers are good strikers, no doubt about that, but players with some specific qualities," Mourinho said. "They are not the kind of players in five square meters with three or four players around who can get the ball, can dribble around and make the shot. "So when the team is in a difficult situation they are not able to normally resolve that situation for us." It likely means Mourinhos first season back at Chelsea will end without a trophy. Chelsea, with one game left, is a point behind Manchester City and Liverpool, who both have two matches remaining and a superior goal difference. "We tried everything but at the end of the day we knew we had no chance of being champions," he added. Chelsea is three points ahead of fourth-placed Arsenal, which also has one game left, but the Blues have a much better goal difference. A draw at Stamford Bridge would usually be something to celebrate for Norwich -- giving Neil Adams his first point in his fourth game as interim manager -- but it leaves the club closer to the drop. Norwich needs Sunderland to lose to West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday and Swansea on Sunday, when the Canaries must beat Arsenal. Realistically, the season seems to be over for both Norwich and Chelsea, which still seemed to be affected by Wednesdays Champions League semifinal loss to Atletico Madrid. "The first half was typical of the consequence of that state of mind," Mourinho said. "It was a lazy first half," he added. "Slow, no pressure, the midfield werent arriving to press the opponent." Chelsea was forttunate that referee Neil Swarbrick dismissed Norwichs penalty claims after 11 minutes when Martin Olsson was fouled in the area by John Terry.dddddddddddd Chelsea didnt make the most of its reprieve, with the hosts unable to trouble goalkeeper John Ruddy, who easily saved Terrys header. Andre Schuerrle did manage to hit the inside of the post but his follow-up was easily collected by Ruddy, and Willian completely miscued a shot just before half time. Defender David Luiz made a quick impact at the start of the second half after replacing Frank Lampard, but the crossbar denied Chelsea this time. Then came Chelseas penalty claims, with Schuerrle first brought down by Alexander Tettey and Ryan Bennett making slight contact with second-half substitute Eden Hazard. "Hazard, I saw," Mourinho said. "I saw in the game, but to confirm I had a quick run to my office which is just there, and I arrived in time to watch and then go back to the dug-out laughing ... because I cant cry." With one of his assistants, Rui Faria, starting a six-game stadium ban for misconduct toward match officials, Mourinho imposed a vow of silence toward Sundays referee. "My assistant is in jail and I dont want to comment," Mourinho said. The Portuguese was happier discussing another unsatisfactory performance from his strikers, summed up by Torres failing to make a clean connection late on after Hazards shot was parried. For Mourinho, the summer mission is to overhaul his strike force with Atletico striker Diego Costa primed for a move to west London. "Its a long summer for us ... to sit and to discuss and analyze options, the market," Mourinho said. Veteran players could be leaving, with 33-year-old defender Ashley Cole out of contract at the end of the season and tearful on the pitch after Chelseas final home game. Terry, who embraced the emotional Cole, and Lampard are also yet to secure new contracts. "They are with the club on their future," said Mourinho, who wants the trio to stay. ' ' '

New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella was not happy with recent comments made by San Jose Sharks captain Joe Thornton, who called the Rangers "probably the softest team we played against." Thornton made the comments after the Sharks lost to the Rangers 5-2 on Monday, adding, "We played some good teams, and I think we probably should have beat these guys, to be honest with you." Tortorella didnt say much in response to Thorntons comments Monday night, but according to a report in the New York Daily News, he had plenty to say on Tuesday. "Yeah it caught me off-guard when it was brought up after the game," Tortorella said, according to the Daily News. "It surprised me, and Ive never heard a player say that. Joes a heck of a player, but heres a player popping off about our team, and Joe hasnt won a G------ thing in this league." "He could go down as a player, being one of the better players in our league never to win anything. So what he should do is just shut up. It was uncalled for, it was classless, and Ive never had it happen like that before." Thornton tried to clarify his comments earlier today, saying that soft wasnt the right word to describe the Rangers. Playing their usual choking style of defence, the Battalion waited out the Guelph Storm before scoring a late power-play goal in the third period. Goodrow then scored his 12th goal of the playoffs 2:30 into overtime as North Bay tied the Ontario Hockey League final at one with a 4-3 win Friday. It was the second straight night the teams had to settle things in extra time, with Jason Dickinson scoring the winner for Guelph in Game 1. Goodrow, who leads the Battalion with 22 points in the playoffs, positioned himself alone between the faceoff circles and made no mistake on Ben Thomsons feed from the corner, beating Storm goaltender Justin Nichols with a shot off the right post and in. Goodrow said t twice in the game to win. The Storm led 2-0 in the first period 3-2 in the third. "Thats the character weve shown all season. We get down but we stick with the game plan and we try and make the simple play and dont cheat for offence," said Goodrow. The Battalion also showed a lot of resilience after a game they thought they deserved to win the night before. "We lost a tough game last night and all year this teams shown a lot of character," said Battalion coach Stan Butler. "We could have folded tonight. Its a tough building and a great team were playing, but they chose to go the other way. As a result, were going home 1-1." Nick Paul had a goal and an assist for the Battalion, while Marcus McIvor and Mathew Santos also had goals. Robby Fabbri had a pair of goals for the Storm and Steven Trojanovic chipped in with one. North Bays Jake Smith turned aside 21-of-24 shots for the win, while Nichols made 37 saves. Guelph head coach Scott Walker gave the Battalion credit for their effort, but added that the Storm still hasnt shown their A game. "Right now, to be honest, they want it more than we do," Walker said. "We have to put the work socks on and helmet, and get to work and see how it goes. Weere a very mature team with good leadership and well spend a couple days here at practice getting better and then see what we can do out there.ddddddddddddquot; Walker also noticed the Battalions ability to cut off a lot of the ice, as evidenced by the Storms 24 shots in the game. "I think were getting frustrated, were not used to not being able to have a little more creativity. Theyre skating, theyre working extremely hard against us," Walker said. "For the most part, we knew it was going to battle. You dont get this far in the OHL and not be a good team. I think we just have to look at each other and grab on and start rolling the right way." Things were going the Storms way early in the game, as Steven Trojanovics wrist shot from the boards hit Smith in the shoulder and dribbled behind him just 1:16 into the game. Despite not getting many shots, the Storm increased their lead to 2-0 when Fabbris cross-crease pass on a 3-on-1 got poked in by a diving McIvor. McIvor made up for that with just under four minutes left in the period, on the power play, with a blast from the point that clanked off the far post and in. The Battalion tied the game near the midway point of the second period, with Santos chasing down his own rebound at the crease and flipping it over Nichols. Fabbris second goal of the game at 15:57, his 11th of the playoffs, gave the Storm the lead once again. Zack Mitchells drop pass between his legs went to Fabbri at the right faceoff circle and he wristed a shot through a screen and past Smith. The Battalion pulled even at 14:32 of the third on the power play with Trojanovic in the penalty box for delay of game after shooting the puck over the glass. Paul, who also added an assist on the overtime goal, snapped a shot over Nichols right shoulder from the top of the left faceoff circle to end the scoring in regulation. Guelph was 0 for 2 with the man advantage, while North Bay was 2 for 5 on the power play. The series now shifts to North Bay, Ont., for the next two games. Game 3 is Tuesday. ' ' '
